The Public Transit Travel Training program uses in-class lessons and field trips on bus and rail services to empower participants to use public transit confidently to access jobs and job training. Students are primarily those entering adulthood, including those with developmental disabilities, who are seeking employment or post-high school training. The program targets those in disadvantaged communities and partners with social services organizations. The primary goal is to provide students and social service professionals with the skills and knowledge necessary to access places of employment independently via public transit.
