National Night Out

National Night Out is an annual community-building campaign promoting police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie. National Night Out aims to enhance relationships between neighbors and law enforcement to help make our neighborhoods safer, and bring back a true sense of community.

This year, Cross County Connection attended five National Night Out Events: Cherry Hill Township, Haddon Township/Audubon Park, Florence Township, Buena Vista Township and Evesham Township! At each event, Cross County Connection promoted Safe Routes to School, pedestrian and bicyclist safety, and resources for public transportation. Cross County Connection distributed “safety laws & tips” palm cards and Safe Kids NJ literature in addition to the organization’s own safety materials, and provided information to those requesting to know the services the organization offers.

There was an estimated total of 4,200 attendees combined at all five events. Cross County Connection distributed about 2,300 pieces of safety literature. Giveaway bags containing reflective bracelets and zipper pulls, mood pencils, and pens were also given to those who stopped by the table. All of the events were very successful, and attendees of all ages were treated to a wide range of goodies and take aways. Click on each event photo below to view its gallery!
